Catching up

I really meant to get this updated yesterday, but one thing led to another and here we are today! It seems like time has just been flying by lately. I guess they do say, "time flies when you're having a good time." Let's see, what have we been up to since Thursday?

Thursday: Jason wrote in the last post that we went to the doctor, but I think he forgot to mention that they confirmed that we are having a baby girl! We are so excited and I feel so blessed to be feeling so wonderful!

Friday: We decided we needed to just have a relaxing evening. We put the Baby Bedding on the bed (now that we had double confirmation). After dinner we were watching TV upstairs. I had been noticing that our A/C had been running louder than normal (the fan blows all the time to keep the system in balance if we have the Heating or AC on or not). While we were watching TV, it made a really terrible noise and then nothing. Right then we knew that it was not going to be good news.... Jason tried to inspect it but it was much beyond our knowledge of what was wrong or even how to fix it. So we just turned on the fans and opened the windows. Here is a picture of the bedding on the bed:

Saturday: Yet another relaxing day for the most part... I went with Courtney to get a massage and do a little shopping (We had bought a Groupon back in January and were just now available to go get one). It was much needed and quite fun! When I got back, the AC guy had been here and checked out our problem. At first he thought it was just the fan and could fix it that day, but after further investigation, he realized that something more had come off and hit the fan. Thus, he would have to wait till Monday to get the part in. It was not too bad temperature wise this weekend. The highs were only in the 80's and I am very thankful it happened now rather than in June when I am 8 months pregnant!

Sunday: I got up early for the final Long Run for the current training group that I am helping to coach. We had a very nice 9 mile run followed by breakfast provided by the coaches. It has been really cool seeing my runners accomplish so much! Most of them have never run a half marathon before and I am so excited that I got to help them to achieve this goal! The rest of the day was spent mostly doing a few chores and a lot of relaxing. Here is a couple 21 week photos that we took today:

Right now I am just waiting for the A/C repair guy to make it here. Hopefully we will be back in business shortly!

This week seems like it will be quite normal for us: BUSY! Jason's parents will be coming in town for his cousin Trace's wedding. I am sad that I will have to miss it though. I will leave out first thing Friday morning to fly to Nebraska to go to my cousin Tracy's baby shower! I can not wait to meet her new son, Braydon! I won't get back until late on Sunday, so that should give Jason some really good study time. His test is now only 18 days away! Be thinking about him on April 8th as he takes his PE Exam. I know he will do good, he has been really diligent with his studying!

I finally took over Keith's camera and was able to capture a shot of Jason and Sammy.

I think that is everything for now! I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

I know it sounds like we are repeating ourselves, but it has been another busy week.

Jason's parents were in town last weekend.  Rachel and the girls shopped, shopped and then shopped some more.  I'm going to be in serious trouble once our little lady is born.  She'll be like a little thoroughbred shopper.

I went on a bike ride with my Dad and we had a really good time.  It wore me plumb out.  When we got home, my Dad elected to jump his bike off of a retaining wall out back.  On the 6th try, disaster stuck.  From my perspective (top of the hill), I just saw my Dad disappear and the bike fly in the air.  Kind of scared me, but he was OK.  His back suffered a little trauma, but I'm confident that he'll heal with time.

My Dad also let me borrow his camera.  Rachel and I are thinking of upgrading our camera so we can share lots of good picture on the blog in the future.  We're considering purchasing my Dad's camera from him.  That would be a win-win.  We'd both get to upgrade.  Look below for a couple of sample shots from my tinkering around the house.

It's easy so see what I like to take photos of around the house!

Also note, Jason's parents helped us to get the new stroller/car seat travel system that we wanted.  Take a look below.  The only problem is that we had to get it in a color we didn't like.  ;-)

We also celebrated Rachel's birthday last weekend.  I had gotten her the bedding that she wanted for the baby, some flowers and a cookie bouquet.  I project a picture of the bedding in a future blog post.

Today, Rachel and I made it by the doctor's office for a checkup and the 21 week sonogram.  The doctor stated that Rachel is progressing ideally.  What a blessing that the pregnancy has gone so well so far.  The baby is also measuring exactly like she should be at this point.  We got some pictures, but we don't have an electronic copy so we can't upload them to the blog.

Rachel recently got her hair done.  It's pretty progressive, but I really like it.  Take a look.

Oh and I almost forgot, the profile picture.(20 weeks with old hair - 21 will be in the next post with the new hair)

Quick One

It has been quite a busy week for us and this upcoming week looks to be even more busy! My parents came in town on Friday to stay the weekend with us. They had vacationed to the Palm Springs area for their annual February/March trip and stopped over for the weekend on the way back. We had a really good time and ate lots of delicious food.

My mom and I went shopping on Saturday while Jason and my dad worked on adding more bars and shelving to the baby's closet. We ended the day by going out to a nice seafood restaurant called Trulucks to celebrate Jason's and my birthday. It was quite a treat and very delicious.

Today we mostly just piddled around while waiting to take my parents to the airport. A coworker of mine came by to take our chair and a half off our hands (it was in the office which is now the baby's room). We were happy to get it out and have it going to someone who can put it to good use. Just one more step towards getting the room ready for Baby C!

I will leave you will the Week 19 photo. Have a great week!
